Empowering the library and information profession in Tanzania
TLA is the national professional body for people who work in libraries, documentation centres and information services. Since 1973 it has represented the profession, trained its workforce and advised Government on library development.
Its mission is to provide leadership for the development, advocacy and improvement of library and information services, and to ensure access to information for all.
